12" wide, .0216 (16 ounce) soft temper Copper Flashing formed and fastened snugly to the cedar post base with brass threaded nails. Copper, highly resistant to corroding, is perfect for ground contact. Cedar posts are twice primed and twice stained to seal out water and to lock in natural oil that preserve cedar. Protecting the finish of you Yankee Cedar Post with Trimmer Guard is paramount to maintaining your posts longevity. Trimmer Guard prevents the gardeners Weed Wacker from destroying the posts finish and hacking into the cedar.
