Measuring 22"L, 10 3/4"H, 8 1/2"W and weighing 30 lbs, our heavy gauge welded steel box with decorative cast aluminum door is the culmination of architectural beauty and structural marvel. Our patented Heritage features American traditional form and classic arch door design, with an ensemble of artistic appointments including sunburst, Corinthian columns, and breaking wave door handle applique. Every detail of Heritage connotes quality and sound ergonomics, including the door handle equally comfortable for both left and right handers, the cushioned door rest with 2 automotive-grade door bumpers, the weatherproofed door seal to keep rain and dirt out while serving as a sound dampener closing with a nice "Thud" sound, the smooth travel of the heavy gauge steel flag with vinyl bushings and stainless steel lock nuts guaranteeing ageless stability and reliability, and finally, the handy internal sliding mail tray giving you the ability to retrieve your mail with total ease.

For maximum strength, Heritage ingeniously mounts to the mailbox post with our exclusive stabilizer system. Four stainless steel lags bolt through the mailbox base plate into the mailbox support brace. Unlike any mailbox on the market, Heritage also fastens to the vertical post through the steel back plate and deep into the post with a heavy 3/8" bolt with 4 stacked stainless steel 2" fender washers. This fastening method provides tremendous core strength. Exactly what a mailbox post requires to stand firm to snow plows heaving snow and other occasional disruptions. The stabilizer system has a 4" block between the mailbox and post to eliminate abrasion. The stabilizer block has a nifty flag holding slot to hold Old Glory. All Yankee Mailbox customers receive a complimentary American Flag. Unlike other brands that give you a bag of parts and instructions, Yankee Mailbox assembles your Heritage mailbox tuning your door latch and flag assembly for an exceptional feel.

To achieve a durable and beautiful finish, Heritage's metal parts are immersed in a chemical bath, a process known as e-coating. The metal is molecularly penetrated with primer to protect the steel from rust and provide excellent paint adhesion. We use the finest quality and most durable Dupont premium powder coat paint electrostatically applied for complete coverage in black, green and taupe. Naturally, Heritage is equipped with rust free stainless steel hardware and features a heavy-gauge stainless steel piano door hinge assuring timeless durability and reliable service.

MAILBOX LETTERING
Yankee Mailbox's computer driven machine cuts your address decal with exacting precision and when installing your mailbox address lettering, to maintain consistent good quality, we use a jig and template system to ensure your mailbox lettering is installed neat, level, and centered.

According to U.S. Postal regulations, your mailbox must be lettered with at least your address number. For added clarity we recommend both address number and street name on both sides of the mailbox. This way, you address is seen going both ways by your home. If your mailbox post is located on a street other than your street address, your mailbox must contain both address number and street name. Mailbox address lettering is good for greeting visitors and essential in case of emergency.

We address letter both sides of your Heritage mailbox with vinyl cut decals with choice of 2 fonts and 2 type cases. We have optimized letter/number sizes for effectiveness and proportional balance with the mailbox. Address numbers are 2.85" and letters are 1.75" Both sides of the mailbox are lettered the same. Our serif and block letter fonts have exceptionally good readability from a far and tasteful style. Decals are made with premium 3M adhesive graphic film in black, white, off-white and reflective white and computer cut with precision in 2 layouts, address numbering only and address numbering with street lettering. For Line 1, numbers on the flag side of the mailbox are centered between the flag and the edge of the mailbox. For the side without flag, numbers are centered in the middle of the mailbox. Line 1 handles up to 5 numbers, 2.85" high. Line 2, along the base of mailbox, is reserved for street name containing up to 19 characters. Choose type case for Line 2 only, including UPPER CASE and Title Case.

Stainless Steel smooth travelling piano door hinge with adjustable stainless spring steel latch and recessed weather seal keeping out dirt and water and making a nice "thud" sound when closing door.
